This place is built accordingly to a famous Chinese novel written in about 250 years ago.  If you have many days to spend in Beijing and you have visited all other major spots, then you can consider to go to Daguanyuan.  

Actually there are quite a lot of places where you can see the authentic Chinese culture.   Take a rickshaw ride and see the small avenues in Beijing and then end in the Lama Temple which is quite interesting.
