We just returned from an amazing week at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club, which we booked through an RCI exchange. We had a two-bedroom unit in Tower One #10617. This was an amazing week and we can't wait to return when we go back in April.
We arrived about two hours ahead of check-in time, but that was not a problem. We received the keys immediately and headed up to our two-bedroom suite, which included a full kitchen, very large bathroom next to the master bedroom, and a separate lock-out studio with its own mini-kitchen and bathroom. Very spacious and, except for a stain on the carpeting, very clean. We did notice a few light bulbs out....maintenance came within 5 minutes of the phone call and happily replaced them.
The hotel has a fitness center, activities room, and deli/market on the ground level. The deli/market has everything you need, although its grocery prices are very high. The baristas make the best iced mochas and we would often stop by each morning for breakfast sandwiches, which we would then eat outside by the pool. The resort has two pools (sort of on the medium size....they get crowded early.) Lifeguards keep watch during pool hours, which is great for families with little kids. The "Waves" bar serves great drinks at affordable prices....a bit crowded during a hot August day, but that was to be expected. We never did have a problem finding lounge chairs....although you always have to contend with people who "save" them by leaving towels and then walking off to return later at their convenience.
If you stay here, definitely take advantage of the free shuttle service to the Wynn, which departs every half hour from 11 AM - 9 PM. On board, we were given applications for players cards that also entitled us to a free buffet and $10 slot play. Definitely worth it!
The hotel has a large free parking structure for guests, so it was easy to park our car nearby. Right next door is a brand-new CVS that has everything we needed (with prices cheaper than the resort market.)
The nicest thing about the resort was the staff....very professional and courteous, especially the housekeeping staff which was always ready to dispense fresh towels and laundry detergent just for the asking. We were invited to a manager's reception but did not attend, and we were not pressured into any type of timeshare sales pitch. We can't wait to return to the resort in the spring!
