“Absolutely Fabulous!!!!!”

Trump International Beach Resort

5 of 5 stars
Rotherham, Yorks
Jun 20, 2008

My three girlfriends and I stayed here for 4 nights and were sorry to leave. This gorgeous hotel certainly lived up to our expectations of Trump luxury. Pool and beach were to die for....not that we were able to use these much theres so much to do in Miami we didnt want to waste time sunbathing. Free shuttle to all main places was great - if you get time make sure you ride the Thriller Speedboat from Bayside - its fab. All in all a brilliant stay. We left to travel to Las Vegas and the Bellagio lived up to all our dreams too. Will definitely return to both beautiful hotels.

“Trump was excellent”

Trump International Beach Resort

We stayed at the Trump in Miami for a week after a week in Vegas for our honeymoon. We told them this before we arrived and we got a complimentary upgrade to a Junior Suite which was GREAT. You get a kitchen complete with, fridge/freezer, cooker, sink and dish washer. You also get a washing machine and dryer. Excellent so you don't have to drag so much washing home.

The view from our 21st floor room was amazing, from the balcony and bedroom you could see right onto the pool area and beach it was beautiful, and from the huge corner windows in the lounge you could see they City.

The service was great room cleaning was really good and plenty towels, although it did get irritating when you were having your tea and the second house keeping woman came to ask if you needed anything. Although very good service it is annoying! Also we had room service a few nights for tea and it was a very good price, but again you get someone knocking at your door 10 minutes after you start eating to check everything is ok!!

The supermarket across the road is great, the road is busy but there is a set of traffic lights about 150 meters away from the hotel, be warned they change back to red very quickly!!

Reception staff were lovely too.

The only let down was the $15 a day charge for pool, gym and beach access, this is charged even if you use these facilities or not. It is lovely by the pool and the smaller pool down the set of stairs is very quiet so nic and relaxing.

    • Liked — The massive room and the even bigger bedroom
    • Disliked — The annoying staff that knocked on your door when you were eating!

“Showy and overpriced”

Trump International Beach Resort

4 of 5 stars
Great Neck, NY

The Trump is a hotel that oozes class and charges accordingly. Everything is elegant, artsy and immaculate. The lobby is gorgeous, the hallways feature original art, the rooms are beautifully appointed with luxury baths. We got an upgrade to a junior suite, with sink, mini fridge and microwave. A free buffet breakfast with free NY Times and WSJ was spectacular, with beautiful fresh fruit, homemade smoked salmon and exotic teas in addition to the usual breakfast food stations. A soup to nuts gym provided free bottled water and lacked for nothing in the way of equipment. There is also a pricey spa and a couple of "nothing special" shops. The service staff have evidently been instructed to always greet the guests and ask how they are doing. Nobody likes surly staff, but the other extreme can also get annoying really fast. Internet access is an additional $10/day, which is really a ripoff at these rates. We had a great big TV in the room but the remote only worked sporadically and the selection of channels was just pitiful, with no movie channels (movies were extra, of course). The pool staff was very helpful, but the pools themselves were just ok. The pool bar and snack bar (also outrageously priced) did a brisk business. One of the hot tubs didn't work and the beach level was down two flights of stairs. Clientele was mostly business people (there were several conferences on site) and some chic younger people, including a lot of Europeans, some with small children. Although the Trump Sonesta is a very attractive and well run hotel, with some nice amenities, we felt it was a mite pretentious and just not a good value.

“Loved our stay at the Trump”

This was a great place to stay. First, the junior suite we booked had an ocean view which was outstanding. Second, the room was spacious, clean and a staff member came by every night to see if we needed anything. Along that note, all of the staff were friendly and helpful. It's nice to have a washer/dryer in your room to help you pack lighter.

The pool and beach were great places to relax. My wife enjoyed the spa and I used the fitness room which was nicely equipped. My son loved the waterfalls at the main pool and he stayed in and out of that pool all day!

We ordered room service one morning for breakfast which was good. The hotel is close to restaurants and a supermarket, so you are not restricted to the hotel. We didn't go to the hotel's restaurant, so I can't vouch for the food there.

This resort is pricey, but worth it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We will be back.

The hotel itself is beautiful, the beds luxurious, the views spectacular. The staff is professional, courteous, and very helpful. I loved this hotel, it sits right on the beach. The spa is lovely and I had the MOST relaxing facial ever!Ask for Janine. She absolutely rocks! Sean is also excellent if you like reflexology. Yes, it is pricey but the food is excellent, the service excellent, just an overall excellent experience.

Pet peeves: The only thing I did not like was that on my first night they seemed to be a bit anal about getting their room service tray back. You call them to pick it up, so there are no trays in the hall.
It was only the first night, after that they seemed fine and less worried about their tray!

You have a beautiful room and horrible ugly art. There was one art piece in the room. It just wasn't fitting for the elegance of the room. It was a photograph with a rose, a shell and a candle. I just thought it didn't go with the magnificent, wood and modern feel of the room. But, that's just me.

Go!!!! I am Definately coming back.
