“Great location and helpful staff”

We stayed here for a week, and absolutely loved the neighborhood (Retiro), which seemed largely residential and business, rather than a strictly tourist area. Lots of great shops and restaurants nearby, with laundries, ATM, takeout food, newsstands, and groceries just steps away. Our experience was that the neighborhood was safe to walk around in day or night. Staff helpful about making calls, reservations, etc. The hotel is nice enough but rooms can be noisy; if you are in the -01 suite on any floor, that will be right on Juncal, which is a very busy road that is a bus route. If you dislike noise (as I do), ask for a room off Juncal; the -09 suite is in the back of the building, and is very quiet except for the noise you will hear from the room above you, which can be considerable depending on who is staying there. Also, good breakfast served at the hotel.

“Good for the price and location”

Very well located, just near everything.

Very helpful staff.

The room was big enough, although very bad decorated. The building looks new but the rooms look very old. The bathroom was a convenient size too.

The swimming pool area is disapointing, too small. And during a very hot summer day the water was warm!!! Not good, not good.

Summary: Cheap center located 4 star hotel.

Argenta Tower is a business/South American tour group reasonably priced hotel in downtown area, very conveniently located. We arranged it with WOWArgentina, a terrific young two-year old personalized travvel service who can be reached at cintia@wowargentina They found us a terrific suite, with nice size living room with desk, dining table, sleep sofa and TV; a fully equipped kitchen with full size refrigerator, microwave and oven; full bathroom, and a nice size bedroom with king bed, another TV and a mirrored wall of closets and drawers. This only cost $105 including buffet breakfast, which while not extensive had lots of fruit, hot dishes, sweet rolls, flan, etc. The front desk and doormen were very helpful, arranging transportation for a evening at the Teatro Colon. And WOW Argentina took us on a four hour personal tour of the whole city, with the history, characteristics, etc.. They also arranged for us to go to the Senor Tango show, which while touristy, is terrific and not to be missed. Their personal attention to us throughout our stay was amazing - something those of us who usually only go to Europe are not used to!

Just had a great stay at the Argenta Towers and recommend as a well located base in BA. Friendly staff, clean, well maintained rooms and excellent breakfast. Would return, no doubt.

Consulted with local travel agent who recommended the Argenta Tower given my champagne tastes and imported beer budget. She secured a suite at the Argenta Tower for US$100 per night.

The hotel is in an excellent location between the upscale Recoleta area and the shops of Calle Florida and the trendy Puerto Madero. In addition, there is a supermarket just around the corner where you can secure everything you would want.

The suite did indeed have separate living area and bedroom with a mini-kitchenette subtly tucked in between that included a refrigerator, stove, microwave, pans, utensils, etc. There were TVs in both the living room and bedroom. The only downside would be that the rooms could be a little better decorated, but that is the only criticism separating it from a five-star review.

Staff was very helpful and conversant in English. They accommodated every request graciously--whether it was for a electric converter, currency exchange or taxi.

In summary, following are the strengths and weaknesses of the hotel:

Strengths: Location, price, room space, room quality (except decoration), excellent staff

Weaknesses: Room decoration, smallish pool area
