“Not such a good Hampton”

Hampton Inn Knoxville Airport

1 of 5 stars
Tampa, FL

This has to be one of the worst Hampton's that I've ever stayed in. The carpets were dirty, the tile in the bathroom was sticky and filthy. The shower pan was cracked, the plumbing in the ceiling was exposed, and the internet BARELY worked.

On a positive side, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was friendly. I would suggest skipping this Hampton Inn until they renovate!

We made reservations for a five night stay. We arrived in August, very hot in Tennessee. The room's air conditioning was barely functioning. The hotel personnel were less than helpful. The customer service at this hotel mirrors that of the worst attitude we have experienced in quite a while. Good luck if you try to stay here if there are any issues, you are on your own...we changed hotels but not after loosing a nights sleep and many hours the next day trying to get some help.

“Would stay again!”

The Hampton Inn at Knoxville Airport is a great place to stay for a couple nights. The room was perfectly clean, front desk staff was on the ball, and breakfast was awesome. Hampton beds are wonderful, because all the bedding is washed for each guest. Slept great with no noise at all from the airport. Didn't wake up once, which is very unusual for me. The small outdoor pool would only be ok for small children, but it did appear to be clean and well kept. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

“Perfectly serviceable hotel with helpful extras”

Hampton Inn Knoxville Airport

The Hampton is right beside Knoxville airport so will be very handy for anyone just stopping over and looking for somewhere close. Despite this and the highway, the room was quiet, clean and quite comfortable. There isn’t a huge amount to do in the area around the hotel but the staff were helpful with anything I asked and they run a minibus service that will drop/pick you up anywhere within a 5 mile radius of the hotel for free, which was handy. Breakfast was good and the “milk and cookies” in the evening is a nice idea.

Nothing distinctive about it but it is a solid, affordable place to stay if you’re just looking for a base.

“Low-end of Hamptons but OK”

Hampton Inn Knoxville Airport

Dec 14, 2006

Small (almost Japanese-sized) rooms not completely clean - there was even a roach running across my pillow.

Very, very noisy window air conditioner.

They seemed to have learned redecorating from Holiday Inn --- only one electrical outlet at the desk, the only phone is between the beds, and the Internet connection (10 meg only, cable only) is also between the beds, so I had a wire running across my bed while I worked at the desk.

Unless you really need to stay near the airport, there are better choices in Knoxville.
