we first met dev two years ago when he did a free lecture at berjaya. we then went on his evening walk and learned so much! his enthusiasm was the making of our holiday. we returned this year and went on a 4 hour jungle trek. the temperature was high 80's and i found it hard, but i am unfit and according to dev's young assistant, cobra, a very old lady in malasian terms . dev himself is a true gent and proceeded at the pace of the slowest. not always me! we have truly fallen in love with langkawi, not least because of dev's tours. try to book through his website to cut out the middleman if you can. ask advice if taking children and wear good footwear not flip flops. the jungle is real and not disney!

We recently went on two of Dev's tours whilst in Langkawi. The two days were absolutely first rate and really memorable. The Mangrove trip was wonderful whilst the day bird watching was magical. The guides really know their stuff and know where to look for the flora and fauna. The point made by a previous contributor about the personal touch was so true. First names were always used and there was a real attempt to show you what you hoped to see. And finally the numbers on tours are kept small to ensure the personal touch.

No holiday to Langkawi is complete without taking in one of Dev's jungle treks. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and decided to opt for the three hour jaunt in the Rain forest. Dev was brilliant. Cracking the odd gag here and there, he knows his stuff inside out and certainly lives up to all the praise he receives on Trip Advisor. He also made to the effort to get to know everybody's name in our group. All said, if you like working up a sweat and being educated about all the flora and fauna in the Malaysian, jungle, then Dev's your man.

My girlfriend and I took part in one of Dev's Mangrove Kayaking tours in January. Neither of us had kayaked before but this was not a problem as Dev was extremely understanding and helpful. The man has a wealth of knowledge about Langkawi and its abundant flora and fauna. He explained so much stuff it was hard to take it all in!! The kayaking itself was really relaxing and enjoyable, even for us novices. We were disappointed we only heard about Dev's adventures towards the end of our holiday as we defintely would have done some of the other adventures he has to offer. We couldnt more highly recommend his tours - a pure Gentleman.
