My family (including my 2 boys - 6 and 8 yrs, my elderly mother and father, 72 and 78 years and my hard to please husband 37) have just returned from one of the most memorable holidays at this fabulous hotel. I have given this a clear 5/5 and would recommend it to all hard working parents who are looking for a smart, friendly, relaxing hotel with a great beach/pools and fabulous food and facilities. Lovely gardens too.
We were worried that the August heat would be a problem for my parents and children - but we were wrong. Little golf carts carried my family around all week, picking us up at our rooms or by the pool and taking us wherever we needed to go (perfect for my father who can't walk long distances). We spent most of the week on the beach - it is the cleanest and smartest in the bay, with straw parasols and comfortable loungers (fresh beach towels are provided daily). The sand is soft and the sea is warm and gently shelving - shallow enough for the children to swim and snorkel with confidence. Take a shorkel, the fish are beautiful. Grandparents enjoyed the beach bar - excellent BBQ food, attentive service and friendly smiles from staff. Children were made very welcome and fussed over constantly. All water sports are on the doorstep - husband and I windsurfed, parasailed, played volleyball, pedloed and snorkelled.
Our large, clean rooms (with comfortable beds) were in the sports area a bit of a wlk from the main pool area. Don't worry if you are put there, it's really peaceful at night, the golf carts are fun and arrive in only 5 mins. and we liked the local cool clean salt water pool and bar here. We thought our daily rides over that road were great fun, especially at night!
The food is absolutely fantastic. We stayed in the superb Luxor Jolie Ville hotel a few years ago and so expected the same standard of food. We were not disappointed - excellent quality and choice every night and no upset tuummies. I recommend half board.
So all in all - excellent for three generations and hightly recommended, even in August (but I would probably avoid some of the more active tours and can imagine the sun saps your energy if your are walking around a lot) . I didn't much take to the main tourist drag in Sharm el Sheik - it was rather tacky and loud - but I'm a middle aged 'square' and if my children were teenagers I think they'd like it.
We hope you have a lovely holiday here.
