We were looking for a cheaper alternative to the casinos and *thought* that being near the boardwalk would be convenient.
WHAT A LET DOWN.
First, it was NOT CHEAP ($269 + tax = >$300 for one night).
The room was dingy, sheets were washed, but had "sex stains" on them.
Two wimpy little towels provided for two people, so no clean towels in the morning if you shower at night.
DID NOT FEEL SAFE walking to the hotel at night. Saw broken glass from car break-ins just in front of the hotel. Saw police activity 50 yds from the hotel that night (don't know what, but two cars with their lights on).
DID NOT FEEL SAFE leaving my car in their lot. No video, no fence. Seems like it should have closed circuit video and barbed wire in that area! Fortunately, no break-in for me!!! Yay!
Amenities:
Clean pool with nice view of the grubby street.
Dive bar next door (open 24 hours!!)
Free coffee in the morning (though it tastes bad because the inside of the machine hasn't been cleaned often enough).
You can learn everything you want about trailer parks by chatting with the folks in the next room.
NEVER AGAIN.
