This hotel is fine. Its location on the beach and between the Hilton Casino and the Tropicana cannot be beat. It's not fancy and it does have paper bath mats, but it was clean and safe and worked fine for my family. The price was right and quite frankly, we didn't spend much time in our rooms.

Since the casino hotels were too expensive I found this hotel which was "cheap" at $150! It was right next to the Hilton Casino/Hotel, which was a reason I booked here. Also, the hotel reviews were mixed -and I did not read a review that mentioned prostitutes or bugs. So, for one night it suited our needs- just to sleep in and leave the next morning. The room was old, but clean. If you want access to a cheap hotel that is within walking distance to a casino the El Greco is the best of the worst. If you like paper bath mats and don't need a closet you can probably tolerate a night here.

My friends and I decided to stay at the "El Greco" because the casinos were very overpriced the weekend we were going to AC. The location of this motel is pretty good. It's steps from the boardwalk and lodged between the Hilton & Tropicana. That is the one and only good thing about the motel. The room was incredibly small and smelled horrible. The carpet was stained, there was a cigarette burn in the comforter and the linens looked worn and dirty. The lobby and hallways were dingy and dated. The walls are paper thin and we could hear every car drive by and every word our neighbors spoke. We got to the motel around 5:00 am after a night at the casinos. Between the freezing temperature in our room and the noise from the people partying next door no one could sleep. We decided to leave after only 2 hours and drove home around 7:00am. I do not ask for a lot in a hotel. It doesn't have to be fancy and glitzy or even very modern. I just want a clean and safe room, the "El Greco" did not meet my standards in the least. I would NEVER stay here again. The staff was super friendly, but it didn't make up for conditions of the hotel.

Honestly if you want a newer updated place to stay this is not the place for you.The carpet showed signs of wear, and the door was old with out a peak hole(there was a window you could see from)
For me and my g/f it was perfect. The bed was clean as well as the bathroom. We were able to get a room with a fridge(we ask when making reservations...not all rooms have them). The location was great for walking to the Casinos and around town.There were food places with in walking distance as well as a beer carry out store.
We did see prostitutes acrossed the street at other motels, never any by our hotel.
Also the motel has limited parking. We never moved our car once we got there.
I dont suggest this motel for those staying with children, the room is small and the walls are thin.
We plan to stay there again, it was a great find.
