We stayed 6 nights at the York, very pleasent experince. No smoke smells in our room . Hotel clean our room was spacious, I used the pool every morning after my walk to the botanical gardens beautiful. York is 3 mins walk to orchard road thru the carpark, loved Far East Plaza & Lucky Plaza, we ate at the hotel resturant as we recieved 50% off. food good. Loved Singapore will return , will return to the york

Incredible stench of tobacco smoke throughout the premises, even on the "non-smoking" floors, broken security locks on the doors and windows, loud airconditioning which was intermittent at best, non-functional at worst. My family and I (2 adults, 3 children) will never stay there again, and would never recommend this hotel to anyone with any sensitivity to smoking. For those addicted to the cancer sticks; go for your life.

Booked this Hotel as a Stop Over on way home to Australia, we had booked a triple room for three adults, upon arrival we entered a twin room which was obviously just big enough for 2 beds, the staff wheeled in a bed and really squashed us in like sardines, complaining fell on deaf ears,they even argued that it was our travel agents fault!!! the reception staff did not care one iota. I would never stay in this Hotel again because of our treatment by the uncaring staff. I am sure there are better places to stay.We had paid a premium price to stay here and we had expected better

We recently stayed here for one night. The room we booked (double) through Wotif was large and clean. Orchard Road was about a 5 minute walk away, and it cost us less than $20 (Singapore) to get to and from the airport (taxi). Breakfast was part of the package and included a selection of hot and cold food in the cafe downstairs. The hotel appears to be going through some improvements.
