“Brilliant hotel experience”

Jia Boutique Hotel

Just returned from our honeymoon overseas, we laid over in Hong Kong to break the long journey back to Sydney. Having expreienced the regular Hong Kong hotels in the past, JIA hotel was a divine experience in comparison. Classy, quality and aesthetic touches abound and made it difficult to leave the room.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the upgrade to the 1 bedroom suite was a wonderful surprise. The complimantary cocktail on arrival and daily afternoon tea, cake and wine was also a bonus.

It's location near Times Square was more convinient than expected.

For a brilliant hotel experience in Hong Kong don't go past the JIA.. We'll be going back!

It's not a hotel . It's an apartment building with noisy small rooms and no heating. The interior was ok and the service was satisfactory

“Very noisy ... busy streets ...single pane windows”

Jia Boutique Hotel

Dec 20, 2007

What the JIA spent on design it certainly did not spend on construction. This is a very noisy hotel. All the street noise is transmitted through single pane windows and through air shaft in the bath. We have had to change rooms after being told it wouldn't make a difference. It didn't. Free Internet and breakfast certainly a plus but not worth a good nights sleep. Staff is very helpful.

“Great Location and boutique hotel”

The Jia is a young hip and cool place to stay in HK. There are lots of places to eat on Irving. It is only a 2-3 blocks away from SOGO and the MTR. There are some great shops in the Causeway Bay area, all within walking distance. Times Square is about a quick 10-12 minute walk away. If shopping is your thing, its hard to beat the convenience and the price of this hotel. The staff are all courteous and helpful. The free continental breakfast every morning is a nice touch, don't forget the fresh OJ. There is also complimentary gym passes to California Fitness close to Times Square. Good facilities and not too busy. There is also a laundry place right behind the hotel. Only $28 hkd to do a bag of laundry and you get it back in an hour. Just make sure you separate your whites and colours! As you will guess, I highly recommend this place to stay. Also be sure to check out LKF if you like your drinks. Its a fun happening area almost every night.

“Love, love, loved Jia”

Jia Boutique Hotel

Just back from a long weekend in Hong Kong where we stayed at the Jia.

I was almost reluctant to write a review for Tripadvisor as I liked the feeling that we had discovered a little gem and don't want too many people to find out about it - but fair's fair, I probably wouldnt' have booked to stay there without reading other people's reviews on here!

I totally loved Jia - it was so refreshing not to be in a standard hotel room in a city - we booked a studio room and was expecting it to be much smaller than it was - it actually worked out to be quite spacious by the time they had fitted in a study area, living area, kitchenette and sleeping area - very clever use of space. We really felt like we were staying in a very cool studio flat rather than a hotel.

It was also VERY cool - very stylish. I loved the lobby with its quirky designer furniture and all the little designer touches around the hotel and rooms (the light fittings, mirrors etc).

The location was great, a 2mins walk to Causeway Bay MTR station which is only 3 stops from central. A taxi home from Lan Kwai Fong took only 10mins and was pretty cheap. We got back from a bar in Tsim Sha Tsui in 30mins door to door, using the MTR.

(My top tip - if you get the Airport Express train into town from the airport, there is a free shuttle bus that takes you to major hotels - one of them is the Regal Hong Kong which is just opposite the Jia)

The staff were really friendly and helpful, flagged down a taxi for us to get to the Airport Express station, helped me with my luggage, showed us round.

Continental breakfast was included and is help-yourself in the lobby. Cable internet access was included in the room and they provided adapter and necessary cabling.

The bar was very cool although it's a shame they don't have a no-smoking policy as we had to leave one night as it was sooo smoky in there, quite unpleasant.

All in all I loved this place and will definitely stay here again when I come back to Hong Kong.
