I did this tour on August 4, 2008. It was such a great tour and the tour guides were very concerned with the safety and enjoyment of all the participants. They were very kind and patient with me as I have a severe fear of heights but wanted to try this experience. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants an exciting and unique day tour!

my 2 friends and i went on a 2-day hiking package. day 1: white water rafting. then, we did an overnight homestay in a thai village in the mountains. day 2: zip line adventure. 15 lines including bridges and sliding down ropes. for the rafting and zip line, it was a great experience. they have friendly guides that speak english and are quite careful about your safety. always felt safe. all our meals were included. it was good food. they even accommodate vegetarians. other guests were also open-minded and fun to share this experience with. the homestay was amazing as it was very authentic. the hosts did not even speak english, but it was not a problem at all. we ate what they eat on a daily basis. the host even taught us how to make fish and cranes out of bamboo strips. just the sweetest lady. kept feeding us more and more food. treetop adventure will take care of you. they pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. my friend lost her camera in the van and they even drove it back to us in the city.

Went on the flight of the gibbon today, and for something that cost us almost 80$ US we were not very impressed. The installations are good, and safety is excellent, but as we were in a group of 7 there was a whole lot of waiting around, as it's 1 person at a time.

Also, we were hoping for something exciting, with a rush of adrenaline, but the zip lines were all very short, I think the longest one was 120 metres and you don't really go all that fast.

There are also no monkeys to be seen as there is too much noise and they avoid the area.

We went on Flight of the Gibbon on August 30th. I went with my two kids ages 14 and 9. We all had a great time and would go again. The guides were so helpful and they made sure everyone had a good time. The majority of our group was between the ages of 20-25. Only me and my kids were older/younger. The guides made sure I got some great video of my kids, but they also made sure the rest of the group had a good time.

My only caution would be when they tell you to lift your feet --lift your feet!! I still have a nasty bruise on the back of my leg, but I am a fast learner and it only happend to me twice before I learned to lift my legs.

My kids loved it so much they wanted to go again, but our busy schedule did not allow. This is definately something the whole family can do together (kids must be over age 7).

My only complaint was that they said they would pick us up at the hotel at 7:30am and they showed up at 7:00am (so, no breakfast for us). Not a big deal though.

You should know they are very busy - they run groups every 30 minutes (we were group B - the second of the day). So, everything is kept to a strict schedule.

They are very safety concious. They were always checking the cables and making sure it was safe for the next group.

We will definately go again on our next visit to Chiang Mai.
