I arrived early but my room was not ready. That's ok, because I drove in and got into town about 11am. The woman gave me a parking pass anyway so I was able to park and go to Disneyland until late afternoon. The woman who checked me in later in the day, was very friendly and changed my room to a King with a HUGE inclosed patio. It was also right by the gigantic pool which was nice. No my room did not have a microwave but did have a mini fridge. I walked by some other rooms that the maids were cleaning and they did have microwaves. A friend of mine who stayed there few weeks earlier said she had the microwave but no refergerator so whatever. I didn't need the microwave anyway but if I had had my kids with me, I would have been irritated because we always pop popcorn and take it with us to Disneyland. The cable TV had a good selection. I did not turn on the air conditioner because I had a small fan with me, so I just opened the glass doors and put it in the window. I hate hotel towels so I had my own, but I had to use them for the floors and they were pretty thin and yucky. The bathroom floors are a ceramic tile and they were very very slippery and I almost fell and killed myself twice. They really need a better bathmat type towel I'm sure i'm not the first. The carpet seemed fine to me but then again I was wearing black socks so if they were dirty I couln't tell. The bed was firm but comfortable. There was a library convention in town, and the place was booked but I never heard any loud noise. AS for the location to the parks. I have stayed many times right at the crosswalk into Disneyland about 7-8 doors closer. I will say this. This hotel and the Castle Inn right next door is about the limit as far as walking distance in my opinion. Much farther down Harbor and it will become too far. There were a few times I really wanted to go back to my room for something but thought "I just can't go all the way back it's too far" I never ate at the breakfast buffet I didnt' have time. I wanted to be at the park 1/2 hour before rope drop which meant leaving the hotel about 7:15. I grabbed a cup of coffee ( I always take my own pot I hate hotel coffee) and a costco muffin and made my way to Disneyland. Anyway YES I would stay here again, it was way cheaper than other hotels closer was fine. It was NOT A DUMP some people want 5 star service for 2 star price. OH regarding the parking, Yes you have to pay, BUT they let you stay parked until midnight even on the day you check out, so you can avoid the horrible parking garage at Disneyland, and it;s $8 cheaper too. Yes some other hotels let you park for free, but it's very tight. There is plenty of parking here so I'm ok with the $4 fee. Ok I'm done.

“Never will stay here again!”

We have stayed at the Plaza many times and each time it just gets worse and worse. They are raising their prices, charge for parking and wi-fi, and their customer service is horrible!

We just stayed there from June 25 through the 30th and won't be staying there again!

The rooms were not clean! The floors were so dirty, it was disgusting. Our socks and feet were black all the time! The bathroom never seemed clean at all.

We had a hard time with check in and had to be moved to another room. My niece had a broken foot and while switching rooms slipped in the hallway becasue they had mopped it, but didn't not have any kind of warning signs up! There was a maid standing right there when she fell and the woman laughed at her. It was not a great way to star the trip.

Over the next few days we had housekeeping issues as well as front desk issues. It just seemed like something was always going wrong.

This place is getting dumpier and dumpier by the minute and I will never stay here again!

Good Points - Rooms were huge (i had a twin with 2 doubles), good location for tour departures, cheap and close to resturants.
Bad - One pillow had a stain on it which was obviously blood (rank), the hotel staff were not helpful and quite rude when asked a question, the hotel food is revolting, expensive internet access and fairly poor decor (not that that bothered me - it's a cheap hotel). There are hundreds of hotels in Anaheim and i'd suggest booking elsewhere - especially if you are from another country and you are used to friendly, helpful staff

“The best value for your money”

Anaheim Plaza Hotel and Suites

Just got back from a magical Disneyland vacation. Weeks of searching led me to Anaheim Plaza.

My comments :

1. Very close to Disneyland entrance. You can park at the hotel and take a leisure walk for about 5 minutes.
2. Very fast check-in and out. Reservation and front desk staff
are very accomodating.
3. Clean bathroom.
4. Clean sheets.
5. After a hot day in the sun, the swimming pool is a definite plus.
6. The housekeeping crew doesn't speak English. Call the front desk if you want something.
7. The rooms have a funky smell at first. It is probably the sanitizing stuff they used to clean the bathroom. You'll get used to it.
8. Unbelievable hotel rates. I'm a sale shopper. I really got a good price for the family suite.

Remember this is not a 5 star hotel. So do not expect a 5 star ambience. This place is good for bargain hunters like me. I got my money's worth. Satisfaction level rating 1-5, I'll give this hotel a 5 (highest).

“if you are using the hotel for sleeping only”

Anaheim Plaza Hotel and Suites

3 of 5 stars

If budget price and convenience is what you are looking for, the Anaheim Plaza is great! If it's luxury and you're wanting to spend time in your hotel, you will pay double the price for other hotels for the same location. We went with the intention of spending all our time at Disneyland, the hotel was just for showering and sleeping. The rooms are big and clean. As other reviewers have noted, the towels are like sandpaper but they did the job and dried you. The A/C was not super cold, but we were comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was not strong, but did the job. The hotel is old and worn looking but who cares, we got a good night's sleep, the beds were comfortable, we felt secure and the staff were all very nice. And it was not noisy as others have complained.
Be aware that the Anaheim Plaza charges $4 a day for parking, cheaper than $12 a day for Disneyland parking. They have an excellent breakfast buffet for $10 a person which we did one morning when we were in a hurry but there's a Denny's and IHOP a couple doors down for a cheaper breakfast. There's also a Tony Romo's and an all you can eat buffet place although we did not try either one.
The biggest advantage of Anaheim Plaza is the 5-10 minute walk. We go every year and I book hotels that are $100 or less because we don't spend any time in them but for that price I've always had to find hotels within a short driving distance. But after a long day and tired feet, it was SO wonderful to be able to just walk to the hotel instead of waiting in another long line for the parking lot tram, then walking to your car, then waiting in traffic.
