This was my favourite hotel (of 4) on our trip. It was located about 10 mins from Disney on the shuttle bus which ran every half hour til about an hour after the park closed and more often at busy times. The hotel itself was really nice, our room was massive with a really comfortable king size bed and little coffee machine with starbucks filter coffee provided. The only drawbacks to the room were that there was no safety deposit (at reception only) and the shower temperature was a bit screwed up, cold was hot and hot was cold!! It took a bit of working out. Otherwise loved the room. There was a pretty decent little shop that had cereal bowls and milk for a cheaper and easier breakfast option along with fresh doughnuts, medication etc. There was also nice gardens and a games room, pool etc but never really checked those out. There were also laundry facilities to do your own laundry.
If you need to use the internet to check in for a flight online ask the concierge and they'll do it for free, i checked in online for one flight myself in the computer room and it cost me $13 for about 15 mins, the concierge did the other one for free and printed out for me too.
The beach is about $50 by taxi so we didn't do that but we did do an LA/Holywood bus tour and a trip to Universal which pick up at the hotel, its way too far to attempt otherwise unless you have a car. Overall great hotel and would definitely recommend it

My wife and I stayed here so we could spend several days at the Disneyland Theme park and for that purpose, this hotel is a good choice. There are four buses per hour that travel back and forth to Disneyland: Buses leave the hotel on the hour and half hour and leave Disney land at a quarter after and a quarter to.

The room was just OK, the bathroom quite small and a refrigerator in each room. Since we spent the whole day at Disney, we spent very little time in the room and thus room accommodations were not that important to us. This hotel does not offer a free breakfast and if you have a family (especially with teenage boys!) feeding them could get quite expensive and you might want to consider some hotel with free breakfast (the two near by Marriot Residence Inns offer free breakfast). The only food I purchased here was a cheese quesadilla, which was quite good and reasonably priced at $10.00.

The hotel charges a $10.00 per day parking fee and $9.95 a day per computer if you want internet access so if you need these things add $20.00 to the stated rate when comparing prices with other hotels (Such as the local Marriot Residence Inns) and add the cost of breakfast as well. There is a nice, though over priced, convenience store in the hotel that sells coffee, sandwiches (about $10.00 for a sandwich), sun screen and other items you might need. There is also a 7-eleven down the block and a Wal-Mart, Vons, Ralphs and target near by.

This hotel is probably the only Starwood hotel that I have stayed at that would not cash a check for me (that is a gold Starwood member benefit) and I received no extra consideration or courtesy for my gold status. Not really a big deal for us, but if you are a gold or platinum member and are used to extra consideration I doubt you will get it from the Sheraton Anaheim

I booked the hotel late and as expected got a room that is typically horrible - the corner by the ice machine and the elevator. We stayed for four nights and each one was enjoyable and quiet. We had a King bed with the couch-bed. The fold out bed was fine for the kids (7&8).

We used the room just for a place to stay. We ate at the deli once, and we were suprised at the amount of food for the $ - very fair pricing for the product. The lounges and grounds were very nice and the parking area seems secure.

My only dissatisfaction was with the $10/day parking fee.

The shuttle service was great - more frequent than the "very half hour" published. We never waited more that 15minutes on either end.

As a Starwood Corporate and Gold Member for more than 15 years, our most recent stay at the Sheraton Anaheim has made our decision never to stay at a Starwood Property again!!!
There are absolutely no pros about this hotel other than the fact that you pay for what you get...our room rate was dirt cheap!!!
Cons:
-Extremely rude and inefficient front desk staff.
-Unresponsive hotel management team in dealing with customer concerns.
-Free shuttle to Disney for hotel guests and anyone else who is smart enough to park for free at the hotel parking lot and get on board-No seats on the shuttle for paying hotel guests as others from around the land got on board and hoarded their way on the bus each morning-an awful experience.
-Hotel charges guest for parking at a tune of $10/day-not too bad however each morning when you see the parking gates open and others getting in and parking for free, you begin to get upset and angry.
-Room not ready for check-in even well past 3pm.
-Absolutely no recognition for being a corporate Starwood member.
-Rooms are out-dated and in need of a serious upgrade.
-Very loud fireworks outside each night around 930pm-forget about sleeping.
-No newspaper delivered to room.
-No one even asked at our check-out how our stay was...that was the icing on the cake for this yet again another awful stay at a Starwood Hotel.
No more Starwood in our lives...we were supposed to stay for 14 nights at this hotel and we decided to quickly check-out early after two nights and go to the Fairmont Hotel chain.....we have now found our new hotel chain to stay at for future travels. The Fairmont was incredible-recognized it's frequent guest members, awesome rooms, and service was impeccable. Pay at a bit more, stay at a better chain, drive to disney. It's worth the hassle!
