I took my family of me, my husband and our three children around north america and while on that trip we went to disneyland! We needed somewhere that was close to disneyland and the website of Staybridge Suites said it was - sadly when we got there we found it was a 10 minute bus ride to disneyland. On the bright side breakfast was complimentary and had a good selection. It did not have a pool but there is one at the hotel right next door which is owned by the same people who own Staybridge Suites. Overall it was a good place to have our first four nights because we were not all in the same room which was helpful for giving everyone a good nights sleep after a 12 hour plane ride! I would would recomend it to families because you get complimentary breakfast and there are seperate rooms.

My Travel Agent booked me into another hotel originally but when I saw the reviews here and saw that I could book here as part of my package I was very pleased and looking forward to my stay.

We stayed 6 nights and I was not disappointed. The reception staff was really helpful and responded cheerfully to any questions I had and also to those of my children. They put me in a downstairs suite with easy access to the pool when they saw that I was lugging 4 suitcases and traveling on my own with 3 children.

On the 1st night we went to the little kiosk adjoining reception and found they had just the right amount of snack variety there to please my restaurant weary children (we were in our 4th week traveling) . A chicken pot pie, a cup of noodles,2 micorwave pizza snacks and a coke later it was only 8 dollars. A bargain in comparison to Disney prices as a staff member said :). They also had ice cream, candy, popcorn, soda and anything that you might have forgotten to pack there.

The breakfast was great every morning and enough variety to make it different. We never had a problem finding a table but I wished they had been wiped down by staff :(. They have everything you would want for breakfast except maybe hash browns and pancakes. They even had oatmeal. On a few mornings I even took the food back to the room as suggested here. The juice variety was good too.

The pool was good and as it was off peak not busy at all.

The hotel is not within walking distance to Disneyland at all in my opinion and if I had not had my rental car I would have had to use ART to get there. I was happy to see though that it was 3.00 per adult and 1.00 per child per day. The location to the freeway was fantastic to get off to other destinations so that was a good.

I was also happy that I had my car to get to restaurants too as it is a bit of a walk to them. I never went to the Holiday Inn Restaurant next door as I had planned as it served lunch from 11-1. I got there at 2.30pm which indicated to me that it might be a bit more expensive there than I would want to spend and maybe not all that family friendly. It could have been because it was the slow season.

I had a great stay and absolutely recommend it to families. The 1 bedroom suite was just the right size for the time we spent there and gave me room for my own space as well as space for the children to spread out and examine their treasures from Disneyland.

Hope this helps someone

“This is a great hotel!”

Staybridge Suites Anaheim - Resort Area

We booked the Staybridge suites through the Holiday Inn website for $102 for 3 nights in late August. The front desk clerk gave us a complimentary upgrade to a one bedroom suite for being priority club members. We had room 706 and we could watch the Disney fireworks everynight. There is a nice large pool shared with the Holiday Inn next door. The hotel also has a free laundry room (4 washers, 4 dryers) which was great. There are free computers to use right off of the breakfast room. And they offer free parking. I ordered room service for my son a couple of nights. The service was prompt and efficient. They don't have kids meals on the room service menu but when I called room service and asked they brought a kids menu to my room within a few minutes. The food was ok and not too high priced considering it was room service.

We took the Anaheim Resort bus to Disneyland. It leaves from in front of the Holiday Inn and costs $3 each person round trip. We did not have to wait long for a bus either going or coming back.

One time when we were passing the front desk I heard the front desk clerk tell a guest who was checking in that their room was prepaid through Hotwire. So I wish I had booked through Hotwire instead. We did enjoy our stay here and we would definitely return to this hotel again.

“Awesome!”

Nicely located, the hotel was holding a BBQ on our arrival night (Wednesday). Nice pool and basketball court (bring your own ball, though).

Our room had a 'full kitchen' : stovetop, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, cutlery, plates, pots, etc. which was very conveninent.

Buffet breakfast was good and plentiful. Make-your-own-waffles was very popular, and besides the classics (donuts, cereal, etc.), they had scrambled eggs and sausages.

“Best Family Accommodation In Anaheim”

Staybridge Suites Anaheim - Resort Area

Sep 8, 2008

I work in a travel agents and after showing one of my customers a recent review of this hotel I felt that I just had to write my own.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for the first two weeks in August,2008 and it was fully booked. Yes, there were loads of people around at breakfast and the odd spillage is inevitable but we never had to wait more than a couple of minutes to get a table, we even sat outside somedays in the garden which was very nice. There were some very rude, loud, obnoxious people who came down to breakfast at 9.30am (closing time) and demanded that they should be allowed to get their breakfast and then complained when the staff were unable to re-stock the items. The breakfast was very good and if you get bored of the same stuff every day (waffles, muffins, bagels, cereals, bacon. sausage, eggs etc) then there's nothing to stop you paying for breakfast elswhere. The free food on an evening was ok. Three nights - one cheese and crackers, one chips and crudites and the other night was a barbecue.free drinks and beer was a bonus on these nights too. People should not complain about these, they are FREE. After every evening out we could always get free coffee from the machines in the breakfast room too.

You always get someone, whether it be here or on a half board basis in Spain that will take fruit, bread rolls, fruit juice etc out of the dining room for later in the day. It's just the way people are unfortunately.

We had a one bedroomed suite, which was light-cleaned everyday and the beds were made and the trash was taken out. The cups and glasses were even put in the dishwasher for us!
It was ok size wise as my 16 year old son slept on the double pull-out bed in the lounge and watched the t.v. which was in a cabinet at the end of the bed. My husband and I slept in one of the double beds in the bedroom and our 12 yr old daughter slept in the other. We also had a tv in our bedroom. If we stayed here again, then I would book a two-bedroomed suite.

The cleaners were busy all day in and around the hotel. The reception staff were great and no matter where you wanted to go they always had a map there and one for the way back too. If they didn't have one pre-printed then they googled one for you!

I have to be honest and say that these would probably be a three star rating , but after doing loads of research if you need larger than average accommodation for your family these are by far and away the best in the Anaheim area and I would have no hesitation in returning here. It is a great base for exploring all the fantastic beaches, Los Angeles etc. We even drove to Las Vegas from here and returned a couple of days later. There is also a lovely new shopping area called The Block at Orange which is five mins away by car.

I would have no problem recommending this hotel to anyone.
