My Travel Agent booked me into another hotel originally but when I saw the reviews here and saw that I could book here as part of my package I was very pleased and looking forward to my stay.
We stayed 6 nights and I was not disappointed. The reception staff was really helpful and responded cheerfully to any questions I had and also to those of my children. They put me in a downstairs suite with easy access to the pool when they saw that I was lugging 4 suitcases and traveling on my own with 3 children.
On the 1st night we went to the little kiosk adjoining reception and found they had just the right amount of snack variety there to please my restaurant weary children (we were in our 4th week traveling) . A chicken pot pie, a cup of noodles,2 micorwave pizza snacks and a coke later it was only 8 dollars. A bargain in comparison to Disney prices as a staff member said :). They also had ice cream, candy, popcorn, soda and anything that you might have forgotten to pack there.
The breakfast was great every morning and enough variety to make it different. We never had a problem finding a table but I wished they had been wiped down by staff :(. They have everything you would want for breakfast except maybe hash browns and pancakes. They even had oatmeal. On a few mornings I even took the food back to the room as suggested here. The juice variety was good too.
The pool was good and as it was off peak not busy at all.
The hotel is not within walking distance to Disneyland at all in my opinion and if I had not had my rental car I would have had to use ART to get there. I was happy to see though that it was 3.00 per adult and 1.00 per child per day. The location to the freeway was fantastic to get off to other destinations so that was a good.
I was also happy that I had my car to get to restaurants too as it is a bit of a walk to them. I never went to the Holiday Inn Restaurant next door as I had planned as it served lunch from 11-1. I got there at 2.30pm which indicated to me that it might be a bit more expensive there than I would want to spend and maybe not all that family friendly. It could have been because it was the slow season.
I had a great stay and absolutely recommend it to families. The 1 bedroom suite was just the right size for the time we spent there and gave me room for my own space as well as space for the children to spread out and examine their treasures from Disneyland.
Hope this helps someone
