Great: Location, Molton Brown toiletries (what suckers we all are for a couple of bottles of shampoo!), Free bottled water, breakfast delivered to room, Room size, Quirky feel.
Not So Great: Very tired shower and bathrooms, pretty thin walls, 1986 tv, very bouncy old bed, fairly tired furnishings in general.
It's a great concept, I love the direct-access to the lift from the street thing, the very warm welcome, etc. The overall impression is a bit like a slightly run-down country B&B.

Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your review. You kind words about the warm welcome are very much appreciated. I am sorry to hear that you weren’t completely happy with everything but I do understand and appreciate where you are coming from.
Not So Great: Judging from your comments you have stayed in one of the two bedrooms that still have old furniture. We have replaced beds, bedside tables, chairs, tables and pretty much everything else in all other rooms back in August. I have not changed the furniture in the room that you were staying in, because there are plans to refurbish them completely, changing the layout of the rooms, knocking down walls, etc. I agree about the 1986 TVs and this is sitting as the first thing on my purchase list. Overall I feel that your comments on the bedroom that you have stayed in are justified. We will be closed over the New Years and Christmas period, and this is when I plan to get the builders in to repaint, reseal, and generally do up all of the bedrooms with the particular attention to the bathrooms.
Great: We feel that it is important to provide a value for money feeling for our customers, hence all the little extras such as the Molton Brown toiletries in 100mil bottles, bottled water, newspapers with breakfast, tea and coffee on arrival, etc We also try to include as many things as reasonably possible into the room rate, rather then charging them as extras later on. I think our breakfast also compares quite favorably with most hotels out there.
Overall whilst yes there are certain problems with the quality of the finish in the rooms, I feel that we do provide more value for money and better customer service levels then vast majority of places in London
For me anything less then a 5 star customer rating is certainly a cause for concern, and I will relay your comments to my directors. I also promise to invite you back (via a private message) when we complete the refurbishment while keeping the same rate as you paid last time.
Once again, thank you for your review and please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
Regards,
Dimitrios Neofitidis
