Just returned from a 6 day stay at the Hawaii Prince. It was our second visit to the Prince in two years. We made a value oriented decision. Our previous hotel had been the Kahala Mandarin—which we absolutely loved. However, now that we require two rooms (a second room for our 16 year old daughter and her friend), we can... more

The Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki marks the gateway to legendary Waikiki. Upon entering the lobby one is impressed by it's muted elegance and — the quiet! It is very relaxing and far less frenetic than many of the Waikiki properties. The front desk staff demonstrate a true aloha spirit and welcome each guest who registers with a hot oshibori towel.... more

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 10 years and have nothing but positive things to say about it. It's location is at the quiet end of Waikiki, perfect for us, away from the crowds but with easy access to beaches or shopping. Not a resort hotel, but very elegant and understated. The... more

I would highly recommend AVOIDING this hotel. I still shudder at the memory. My husband and I stayed here 5 years ago and every time I sat on the bedspread, I got bug bites (some kind of invisible mite). It was annoying, but I didn't realize the implications - what was really annoying was when we got home and they... more

I stayed here in June for one week and I have to say that this property differs from the usual crowded waikiki-kitsch-hotels. The Lobby has an elegant but relaxed ambience, the staff is helpful and friendly, the location is perfect. Special thanks to Margaret, it is always nice to see her at breakfast everytime we are there. The rooms are... more

I ended up here on a great rate from Priceline ($143), and this hotel was perfect for what we needed, which was a dayroom. I felt the pool was a bit small to cover the two towers full of people. It was a bit crowded. The rooms were fine, nothing special, and no balconies. Decent amenities, free bottles of water,... more

We had a fantastic holiday in the Hawaiian Prince last month. The staff were very helpful and friendly and I would like to give a special mention to Brenda who made our stay very special for my husband 50th birthday (upgraded us to a beautiful room with a fantastic view) . Also a special mention to Linda who worked in... more

Let me start off by saying that yes, pretty much what others have stated about the hotel is correct. Rooms are starting to look somewhat dated, and the hotel does have a high Japanese client ratio . . . . but folks you're in Hawaii so that is pretty much standard. Also, going to Hawaii is all about meeting different... more

I stayed at this hotel the week of May 4th, 2008. Generally I agree with the other reviews here. The hotel is quite nice, the location is central but not on the beach, the staff was courteous and the parking was good (but cost $15/day). There are a few of negatives worth noting: - There is no free internet access.... more
