Make no mistake, this hotel is designed for business travellers, not tourists looking for a beach location. The room was clean and quiet, the bed was comfortable, the internet connection worked, and the staff was professional. No surprises at this location. Parking was $18 (slightly higher than a Waikiki hotel I stayed at on the same trip). There was a... more

had a bad experience the last time i stayed there and will never stay there again..if you're there on business and paying a very low rate it might be worth it..no'aloha' spirit here..and if you're thinking of renting a condo there its a real waste and ripoff...hotel does not deserve a 3 star rating more

My wife and I stayed here after we got married in Hawaii. The service, room standards and quality were excellent. The rooms were newly renovated. We'd definitely stay again! more

After a long flight from Pennsylvania to Hawaii, we were pleased with the quality of this hotel. Free Internet service in the rooms was a huge plus as we were able to tell family & friends that we made it safely. Nice pool. Large, clean room. Excellent service. Hotel stored our bags for the day (for a fee of course)... more

My girlfriend and I checked into the Ala Moana on July 3rd to July 8th. We stayed in a condo in the Waikiki Tower. When we checked in there was a long line but the desk clerk was very friendly. We were able to check in early which we were very happy about. Our hotel room was clean with two... more

We stayed here for a night before a wedding that we were attending in the northern part of the island. It was fine for what it was. Check-in also took a long time - there were only two people working at the reception (though there were spaces for 8) but it went smoothly once we got to the front. The... more

While on our trip in Oahu, my family and I had a good stay at this hotel so we thought...But, when we arrived home I received a $600 charge on my credit card. When I contacted the hotel about the charge, the assistant manager said that the carpet in the room we stayed in was damaged with cigarette burns, which... more

– We stayed at the Ala Moana for our two nights in Honolulu because my first night there was already paid for by the university and it seemed like a lot of trouble to change hotels for just one night. In retrospect, I can’t decide if I’m sorry about that or not. We found the hotel to be adequate overall,... more

We found a 2 bedroom condo high atop the Ala Moana and spent a week there last month. Since we stayed in a condo this review will be on the Hotel itself not the rooms. Our main purpose in going to Hawaii was fun on the beach & in the ocean. If that's your purpose this is NOT the best hotel... more

Great hotel recently refurbished in Waikiki Tower. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was very swish. This was a privately owned condo the hotel sells off and rents. It had a big kitchen but no pots/pans//cutlery to use so assume this was all in a locked cabinet. For two nights we did not need them anyway. Great view... more
