The hotel is beautiful, and in a great location (close to the South Station T) and a short walk to Government Center. Our king room was 400 square feet, and had a wonderful soaking tub. We found it very relaxing, and spa-like, with a comfortable bed and great service. Highly recommended. more

The Intercontinental in Boston is at a suburb location -- close to train systems and the center of town. Lovely views and well-appointed rooms. Service on the weekend we stayed was spotty. On September 20 (a Saturday night) late night room service was punctual and the food excellent. Retrieval of the mess took a while. When we made a toiletry... more

The InterContinental is a great hotel - I love the modern decor and the lobby is spacious and welcoming. The location is also great - walking distance to South Station as well as restaurants and bars. We probably could have walked to the North End, but it being December it was freezing!!! I loved the bar in the middle of... more

Booked as part of the virgin fly drive and what a great start to the holiday. Great location, on the waterfront. Boston's shopping centre, park, aquarium etc are all within walking distance. room was stunning. Food great and service excellent. It's not cheap, but then this is Boston! Just a shame the rest of the hotels virgin picked for us... more

Booked this hotel for a family 60th anniversary celebration. Very comfortable place for the parents, but then - they didn't need to pull out their wallets. (Restaurant offers two eggs over easy for $22, for example, and $14.95 internet access) Although I like the location (easy to drive to, easy walks to sites of interest, water taxi to Logan Airport... more

I booked this room through hotwire for Labor Day weekend. I got an exceptional price and this hotel turned out to be just fine. It was in a great location (relatively close to the airport, walking distance to all of boston ... night-life, south train station, north-side, China town ,etc). I didn't have the nicest view from my room (construction),... more

We stayed at the intercontinental for 3 nights last week, the room was clean and fresh, the bathroom is spectacular and was sparkling clean. Even if we used Priceline, we were given a corner room on the 6th floor with a view of the river. The ladies at the front desk and the concierge were really knowledgeable and helpful. The... more

Another great deal from Hotwire got us this room for about $210 per night (incl. tax). We knew going in that the parking would be stiff, so I posted a query here on Tripadvisor and was given some great advice. Parked the rental car a few stops down the subway line in Quincy and took the train back to the... more

We had a great experience at the Intercontinental during our recent staty in boston 8/23-8/23. I've traveled to Boston several times on business - and i ususally stay in some really old Hotel - and while the rooms are nice - they feel really really old. The Intercontinental is different - new(er) hotel - rooms are very modern, bathrooms are... more

Sterile feel. No doorman, but impeccably tailored employees with fine European accents. Very business-like attitude, but no sense of any real human connection to the customer. Will "nickel and dime" [more like dollar] you to death. $5 for a bottle of water. No coffee or tea in room for those who might be looking for it. Understand, however, if you're... more
