Got a great deal on a room through priceline ($150 tax and service included). The room we were assigned was absolutely amazing. A corner room with a king bed and wall to wall views of the hills and the bay. I personally really enjoy how Marriott uses down comforters with a washable sheet cover. Having a wife that works in... more

The hotel is in a good downtown location with easy access to plenty of bars and restaurants, as well as the superb local transport system. We stayed in a standard room which was very good. The hotel has a really good gym. Prices in the hotel are rather high for drinks and breakfast, but plenty of places nearby offering cheaper... more

Location is excellent for conventions at Moscone Center. It is within easy walking distance to the Convention Center and located near several nice places to eat (also walking distance). I had a room on the 5th floor that I felt was below average for a Marriott. The room itself was average, but the bathroom was a disaster. The tile floor... more

We just stayed at the San Francisco Marriott for several days and our visit was was outstanding. We chose this property even though the JW came much more highly recommended. We were lucky enough to get on a high floor (35th) - and it was a corner room. The views of the city and San Francisco Bay were spectacular. The... more

At $149 (Labor Day weekend), the Marriott was OK. There were minor problems, like a toilet seat that would not always stay up and some street noise in our 14th floor room. Comfortable beds, lousy pillows. Little hall noise, but what there was came right through the door. No noise from neighboring rooms, but no sign they were occupied. Close... more

As mentioned by many other reviewers, the location is very convenient. The hotel is what you would expect from a Marriott. Beds were very comfortable. The room was clean and efficiently structured. Room was prepared in advance as "feather-free" as requested, which was much appreciated. Fitness facility is top notch. Only complaint was with the concierge facility. The facility is... more

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip. My room was average, nothing special about it at all. The windows were dirty on the outside and the view wasn't that impressive (I was on the ninth floor overlooking other buildings). The conference area is in the basement of the hotel so there are no windows. That starts to get... more

In late July, the San Francisco Marriott hosted the 2008 Romance Writers of America Conference - "Romance, Bridging the World." We could not have visited a better city, or hotel. From the time we arrived a few days before the conference until check-out a week later, we felt at ease. From bellhop to maid service to concierge, the staff was... more

Stayed at this hotel for a business convention Aug 3 through Aug 7-total of 4 nights. Checked in at front desk and was told I was assigned 19th floor/city view, handicap room. Advised front desk I did not require such a room and they should reassign that type of room to another traveler with special needs. Reassigned the 11th floor/King... more

We were there for six nights for a convention. This hotel has a great location and we could walk to Bart, bus, and trolleys, Cable cars are also close by but use only if you are a first time visitor to San Francisco....the wait if too long for anything but a one time ride. No one we were with, ate... more
