My husband and I stayed just one night, but it was special. The staff was the most professional and friendly anywhere. The room was the best.... refrigerator stocked with sodas, water. The bed was very comfortable. The 2 pools and grounds were extraordinary. We had dinner at the on site restaurant - it was very good. more

My husband and I loved Hana...the road to Hana was unbelievably gorgeous. Hana was laid back and wonderful. My husband and I stayed in an Oceanview Cottage at Hotel Hana Maui from 9/7/08 - 9/9/08. We were extremely dissatisfied with the service during our stay. During our first night on property at around 10pm, I heard scurrying noises around the... more

Our 3 nights at the Hana Maui were a mixed bag. The resort overall is truly breathtaking--sprawling lawns leading right down to the ocean's edge, a lovely pool (at least the one on the Sea Cottages side), and perfectly maintained grounds bursting with what seemed like every kind of flower and tree on the island. The scale is large enough... more

I won't bother recapping the details from other glowing reviews of the Hana Maui. This is a great place, and I'm really glad we stayed there. I had just about given up on Hawaii and the Disneyification of so much of Hawaii, but a number of things converged, and my wife and I spent a very pleasant week there. The... more

Hotel Hana Maui is utterly magical. Some reviewers have expressed their disappointment in the lack of air conditioning at this hotel and I too wish they had air conditioning but it is really only noticeable in the middle of the day when you should be out exploring Hana and all the beautiful nature anyway, or taking a dip in one... more

I love the SLH chain - small luxury hotels. I have stayed in SLH hotels throughout europe, asia and Hana Maui was my first US SLH hotel. I was extremely disappointed with HANA MAUI - i will not return, but this is my view - my fiancee enjoyed it. I disliked because: 1. it's a very boring, slow paced hotel... more

Hotel Hana Maui is not the place for families travelling with elderly family members, special needs family members or with more than two children. The hotel is entirely unwilling to accommodate special needs families. Families travelling with loved ones needing assistance or with small children and families who want to spend time together as a family should make other arrangements. more

My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 days 2 nights in a regular junior room. It was a better location than the cottages which are on a steep hill. We had a nice little sitting room, stocked fridge (soda, water) that was restocked for free, nuts and banana bread on our sitting room table when we arrived. I am not... more

Well, having read some of the negative reviews in this site, I must admit I was a little bit apprehensive about staying at this hotel, after we decided not to do the usual Kaanapali thing. We live in Hawai'i and were taking our first trip on the Superferry and driving our own car, a Miata (with the top down) over... more
