The hotel was nice but when I requested an ipod for my new room the desk clerk acted as if she didn't know what I was talking about. The ice machine in building 5 was broken but after reporting it they fixed it promptly. I loved the turn down service. One suggestion, when one of the drivers sees a resident... more

We stayed at the Grand Floridian for 5 days in May. The location is fantastic: the hotel is 1 monorail stop from the Magic Kingdom. It is kind of kitschy but overall very nice and not overtly Disney (ie Mickey Mouse all over the place). We tried three of the five restaurants while there and all were delightful. The rooms... more

What a great trip! We took our 5 y.o. to Disney for 6 days 5 nights staying at the Grand Floridian. What a nice place. Everything was perfect. The staff was excellent the grounds well maintained. The pools were very large and one was more kid friendly with a waterslide. Granted the food at the character meals was o.k. I... more

WDW's flagship resort - it is more expensive then the others but it worths every single penny! First of all, it is very close to Magic Kingdom with easy access via monorail and boat. The rooms are clean and has been recently renovated. Great pool and kid activities. The cast members are always friendly and helpful. more

Absolutely exquisite. Staff is curteous and are always greeting you. The hotel and room are impecably clean. Nothing else to be expected from the most expensive Disney Hotel. It's very reminiscent of the great classical hotels, so I'm not sure if families traveling with children would enjoy it as much as some of the Disney properties. It's also a great... more

Went to Disney to celebrate my youngest daughter's graduation from High School. Upon arrival we were greeted numerous times by the staff before we even made it to the front desk. We were in a bit of a rush as we had dinner reservations that evening at the Hoop Dee Doo Review and knew it would take some time to... more

First off, I have to say that the Grand Floridian is stunning. It’s a just a beautiful hotel and has a great location. I stayed here with my mom and my boyfriend, while my mom was there on business. We had transferred from another resort because we came in for an extra day that was not part of the business... more

No denying the location speaks for itself. With a baby in a stroller and (2) 6-year olds, the extra money was well spent on the quick and convenient access of the monorail. Great afternoon fun and sun in the pool and at the hotel mini beach. Staff very helpful and accomodating to special needs. more

My family (two adults and a 12 year old son) stayed at the Grand Floridan Resort from July 3 through 8. We utilized Disney's Magical Express, which was a pleasure. We checked our bags at our home airport, and our bags were in our room that same evening. The Magical Express service was very well organized and we were at... more
