OK. I've now stayed here twice. First time alone on business, second time with kids. The stays were a year apart. Booked both times off Priceline for great rates. Here's the skinny: The hotel is a series of resort-style, two-story units set amidst nicely-maintained grounds. It will never be a 4-star property. It simply lacks the physical plant. It is,... more

We frequently book our hotel stays through Priceline or Hotwire. It is infuriating when you arrive to check in at some of the places and they charge you a "resort fee". You have no way of comparison shopping when they quote one rate for the room online and tack on surprise fees at the desk. I was very impressed when... more

This "resort" is nothing but a Motel 6 with a fancy reception area and some new paint. All of the rooms open to the outside, which is not safe or deserves a 4 star rating. The rooms appear clean, but so do some Super 8's. I could nat imagine paying full price for this 2.5 star property. more

For the price I guess we can't argue, but I won't ever do a Priceline search with "Scottsdale" & "Resort" again. Based on the reviews I get the sense that the quality of rooms is very hit & miss. Ours was just "okay": the room was extremely musty, the A/C was a wall unit that was hard to properly calibrate,... more

We searched the internet looking for a resort on Scottsdale Road with 2 room suites. We picked this one based on its website and the rate. When we arrived it more than lived up to our expectations. We were warmly greeted from the moment we drove up to the lobby entrance. We had requested a suite near the main thoroughfare... more

Stayed here for a conference that I was attending. I was a little unsure about it based on the reviews here. When we arrived, we were upgraded to a bi-level suite which was really nice. It had a fireplace, small patio, 2 bathrooms, and a bedroom on the 2nd floor. The only issue was that when I got upstairs to... more

This was my first visit to Arizona. My husband had previously stayed at this resort and had rave reviews. While the grounds and facility are beautiful we were disappointed that there was a charge for internet service. You wouldn't expect that at a luxury resort when you can get free internet at a best western. Also I expected above-average "everything"... more

We are pretty easy to please. When we book a room through Priceline, we take the perceived value into consideration. This hotel has made us seriously reconsider Priceline in the future. The Scottsdale Plaza Resort is supposedly a 4-star "resort"... NOT!!! Unless they mean 4 out of 10 stars!! There was nothing "resort" about this place. As far as I'm... more

We had already stayed at The Scottsdale Plaza on two previous visits to Arizona and again we were not disappointed! The staff were always willing to provide any information for our travel plans, the grounds are delightful and the Garden Court Restaurants' breakfast buffet provided the perfect start to the day.We hope to return in 2009. more

We stayed here for the third year in a row with a High tech conference my fiancee attends. The Scottsdale Plaza is a little long in the tooth...compared with the newer, hipper resorts that have multiplied in Scottsdale over the past ten year. It does however, have some things going for it which include beautifully kept grounds and surroundings. The... more
