We were staying in Buenos Aires and decided to take side trip to Mendoza. We went to a local travel agent when we saw an ad for 3 nights excursion to Mendoza. We were so disappointed in the Aconcagua that we completely forfeited (nil refund) two nights fully paid (in $USD) accomodation to move to another hotel. The biggest issue was the ventilation in the bathroom - it seemed anytime a guest anywhere in the hotel used their toilet, the odour made its way into our bathroom & eventually, into our bedroom.... more

Rooms are bathrooms are relatively small and the desk staff is not really friendly. Seems as no renovation has been performed since 1978 ... Definitely not a 4 stars hotel but quite decent for the price. more

I stayed here for two nights in January 2005. The hotel is well located in central Mendoza on a relatively quiet street. Despite that, I found that I could still hear a fair bit of traffic noise in my room.
