My wife and I stayed at Yira Yira Guest house (pronouce shira shira) for 7 days in November, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. This was our first time in South America and we both only had spotty spanish skills. We were greeted at the door by the owner, Paz and were met with great hospitality. The... more

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Yira Yira guesthouse for over a week while traveling in Argentina. We had a fantastic experience! It is a wonderful guest house. There are three rooms.....all spacious with hardwood floors, excellent beds, stylish loveseats, and contemporary decor. We had a huge private room, and the shared bathroom worked just fine for us. At... more

I would highly recommend Yira Yira guest house to anyone wanting to spend some time in Buenos Aires. The guest house is centrally located (Paraguay and Uruguay) - it is easy to find and is reasonably priced. It is near to great restaurants, shopping, grocery stores and laundromats. Our hostess Paz was welcoming and very helpful. I appreciated the time... more

I just returned from 7 days at Yira Yira with my family; my husband, 2 teens, and parents. All 6 of us loved it. I had a good feeling about this place which is why I booked it for a wide range of ages. We found it to be very homey, comfortable, hip, well decorated and extremely clean. The owner,... more

The Good: Clean, spacious rooms that are beautifully decorated. Central location. Decent breakfast. Free internet. Opportunities to meet other travelers as there are only 4 or 5 rooms at Yira Yira. Shared bathrooms, but they are always very clean. There was never a wait to use the bathroom. The Bad: It really depends on your personality I guess, but I... more

Yira Yira is by far the best hostel I have ever stayed at. Period. I came to Buenos Aires to teach English, didn't have a place to stay, knew no one, and upon arrival at Yira Yira, I felt like I found my home away from home. The place is spotless, with the perfect amount of sunlight indoors and a... more

We spent two months in Argentina and used Yira Yira as our homebase in BA. The house was beautiful, clean, and almost always filled with fun, interesting, and respectful travellers to get to know. It was a great place for us because we were not looking for a rowdy hostel but a quiet "tranquilo" atmosphere. Yira Yira is small (only... more

in a nutshell: think of this as a homestay, else incur the *wrath* of paz. initially i was going to stay at yira yira only for my last night in BA/argentina because i needed a b/b that would allow me to arrive after midnight (when i would be returning from patagonia). but i ultimately ended up booking yira yira for... more
