Portal del Sur isn't the cheapest or wildest hostel in Buenos Aires (the rate for a single room was comparable to some hotels) but it's one of the friendliest. It's very well located and the the common areas (the upstairs bar and breakfast room) really lend themselves well to meeting other like-minded travelers, which was a real plus for me... more

We could find the best place in Buenos Aires!! We loved Portal del Sur. It´s full of great people. It always has an activity for the guests... Close to everything, easy to get around. The nicest and cleanest hostels we stayed in. EXCELLENT!! more
