We didn’t think our time along the Garden Route could get any better and then we arrived in Knysna – specifically at the Villa Afrikana Guest Suites!! We explored Knysna the first day (paradise on earth!!!) but decided to have a quiet night in on the second. Our suite was pure luxury and between the heated tile floors in the... more

Garden Route was the last leg of our South Africa Journey and it couldn’t have been better. This place is a complete heaven on earth and far exceeds any holiday experience that one can have.Knyasa is a lovely paradise by the lagoon with beautiful greens and a great small town feel about it. As we entered Knyasa we drove up... more

My wife and I just returned from our 3 week South African honeymoon. We spent three nights in Knysna at the wonderful Villa Afrikana Guest Suites. Villa Afrikana was one of the most affordable accomodations during our trip--yet the guesthouse was one of the best. We stayed in the Noetzie suite. The suite is very spacious with a separate seating... more

We spent two nights at Villa Afrikaner and it was absolutely gorgeous. The rooms and bathrooms are enormous. We stayed in the Owners Suite and it was very, very comfortable. We had a huge private terrace with a fantastic view out over Knysna Bay and Heads and enjoyed evening drinks and breakfast there every morning. There also lovely communal areas... more

Fabulous place. A bit worried at first that it was not walkable from the town but actually the majority of guest houses are some distance. It was a very easy and quick drive down to town (or cheap taxi ride). As the guest house was high up on the hills we have a fabulous view from the balcony. It was... more

We stayed at the Villa Afrikana for two nights while traveling the Garden Route between Cape Town and a game reserve beyond Port Elizabeth. We had stayed in Camps Bay (Cape Town, lots of fun) for the most part of a week and wanted somewhere a bit more relaxing as a change of scenery. I had only ever driven through... more

It took a few minutes driving around to find this gem perched high on a hill overlooking Knysna, but the search was well worth it. From the moment Ross greated us in the driveway to the long kitchen chat before leaving, our stay was wonderful and memorable. A lovely large room, great balcony overlooking the lagoon and huge lux bathroom... more

Immaculately clean with beautiful and tasteful decor, this villa is a fantastic choice on the garden route. The views on the balcony are amazing and the rooms are big, comfortable, with huge bathrooms equipped with all of the luxurious amenities. The best thing is to wake up with the wind blowing through the curtains, opening up to a picturesque view... more

This place is an absolute gem. It has only opened this season and has been completely refurbished to an incredibly high standard in a modern african style. It sits up on a hill overlooking the Knysna lagoon and all rooms have stunning views. The guest house has a lovely swimming pool and patio area and plenty of communal lounge and... more
