I stayed at Casa de las Tias last week, and loved it so much i was sad to leave. The owners are amazing, the accomodations are personal and delightful and it was so nice to come back to a home at night. Rooms are nicely appointed, all with private baths. Breakfast is served every morning on the back patio where... more

My sister and I stayed at Tia´s overnight just before moving into our apartment. We enjoyed their home, full of wonderful art work. The breakfast was superb....among the best we have had during our 6 weeks of travelling in Costa Rica. Xavier and Pilar even delivered us to our new apartment...rather than us taking a taxi. They both have much... more

I have been living in Heredia, Costa Rica for 7 months and I desperately needed a weekend get away. Although I enjoy Heredia, it is very industrial and I had been swamped with work. A friend of mine recommended a weekend at Casa de las Tias to relax and center myself again. I was able to do exactly that at... more

We have stayed at the Casa each year during the last two years and have nothing but good things to say about it. Xavier and Pilar are charming hosts and we never fail to meet interesting people at the excellent breakfast each morning. The setting is country like, which is quite a feat considering how close the inn is to... more

My husband and I have stayed at Casa de las Tias many times and have enjoyed the hosts Pilar and Xavier. The house is in a part of Ezcazu that has many restaurants very nearby and some pretty shops too- also a really good chocolate shop. The house at the end of a lane with 5 guest rooms is charming... more

The b&b is nestled in a quiet garden in a pleasant neighbourhood of San Jose. The owners were very considerate, welcoming and willing to offer tips and directions, and allowed me to keep items in storage whilst I was away. The gallo pinto is a must try when it's offered at breakfast! I would happily recommend the b&b to anyone. more

Xavier and Pilar do an excellent job at making your stay comfortable, safe, and informative. The breakfast is very good, and you won't find a better location for the $ - it's right next to huge shopping and dining in beautiful Escazu...there's no way you would be disappointed! Taxis are readily available from the B&B, and you're only about a... more

After a terrible drive from Puntarenas this wonderful place awaited us! We loved our room with the balcony overlooking the beautiful garden and the breakfast with homemade jams and local goat's cheese was perfect. All in all we had a wonderful last night in Costa Rica before flying home, a big thank you to Xavier and his warm welcome and... more

Casa de las Tias became my home away from away while in Costa Rica. Upon my first arrival for a three night stay, I was amazed that just a short distance off one of the main and very busy roads in Escazu was the peaceful haven that is Casa de las Tias. A former Costa Rica justice minister's residence, the... more
