I have been meaning to write this for over two months as I really loved my stay and wanted to share this information. This is a special place where you would be fine alone or with a friend. It's simplicity is what makes it so relaxing. The pool where I spent my days was gorgeous. It is surrounded by flowers... more

After a rock solid year of endless work and no play, I found myself in Costa Rica briefly, in the welcoming hands of three knowledgeable and good-humored owners who have created Panacea, both its proper noun and its feeling. I cannot recommend it highly enough. My stay included incredible yoga instruction, fabulous home-cooked food, and the best reflexology--who knew how... more

This is one of the most amazing trips I've been on. I like the option to have private time and have time to visit with my friends and meet people, as well as the option to relax and be leisurely and also to have some adventure and experience another culture. This trip was definitely that and even more. First, the... more

I loved the experience of being in the midst of the rainforest. The views are breathtaking. I actually saw monkeys in the trees, Iguanas on the roof, and Peter (owner) told us a turtle actually fell from the sky. (dropped by a bird no doubt). I never wanted for food. Owner Debbie cooks 3 vegetarian meals per day which were... more

I have just returned from Panacea for the 5th time! Each stay is more enjoyable than the last. My first trip to Panacea, I booked only 7 days, but after the first day their I knew I wanted to stay my entire time at Panacea, so I added on, 10 days total. Panacea is the most peaceful place I have... more

After just spending 7 nights and 8 days at Panacea, I was very sad to read two of the reviews complaining about the hike to the rooms and the "loud construction" because I found Panacea to be a most enjoyable, peaceful and special place. I found the walk to my room to be one of the best parts, as I... more

My girlfriend and I booked a five night stay at Panacea based on the reviews from this website. I am a true believer in trip advisor and have never been let down. We picked Panacea based on the fact that it was highly rated and they offered yoga. Well, we ended up staying 2 days and 1.5 nights. Here is... more

Well, yes, it is on a hillside, but you need to be in really good shape to hike the 400' up to your cabin. It is a steep climb, not for the weak of knees or heart. Yoga is at 7 am, so hope you're an early riser. The food is excellent and good portions, tho I did miss having... more

Me and my girlfriend just spent 8 magnificent days in this wonderful yoga and spa retreat. This was our best vacation ever. We had been treated as a loving members of the Family. Owners, Peter, Mary and Debby created a true spiritual enclave in the middle of the beautiful tropical forest where howler monkeys and exotic birds were our fequent... more
