Read in Frommer's this was THE place to stay...I'm not sure what the options are, but I have a recommendation - unless you are 20, don't carry cash, and are a surfer, find somewhere else to stay! They are not nice and not clean and over use poisen which kills the wildlife around the hotel which is part of joy of Costa Rica so you see all these dead animals. they would be better off just leaving them alone or shooing them away rather than poisening them so the dead carcasses are laying around.
