We stayed at the Hilton for two nights during October 2008 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We booked two rooms through the hotel web-site and reserved a package that included a daily buffet breakfast and a buffet dinner on the first night. The rate was a great deal and we enjoyed the buffets. We booked a room with a lake... more

obviously I stayed at a different hotel to some previous reviewers. The Hilton has been refurbished in part, and continues to offer service and value better than many US Hiltons. The staff are excellent, attentive without being over the top. The Lakeside Buffet is stocked from the "proper" restauranrs, so you get fresh sushi and sashimi, fresh chinese dishes, etc... more

We spent 3 nights in a King Deluxe lakeview room at a rate of 85GBP (around US$170) per night (breakfast not included). We had a very pleasant stay. It is located in an out of (a very historic) town 'resort' area, alongside a dozen other big modern hotels, strung around the shore of a reservoir (not lake) surrounded by hills.... more

At 181.500 WON (200 USD) a night, room only with taxes, fully flexible and cancellable up to 6 PM the same day without penalty, we did expected no less than a royal-unified shilla experience when we booked 3 nights in a row early November. Indeed, not at all. Yet comfortable, well maintained and professionally staffed, none could deny it, the... more

The Hotel claims to be air conditioned but what they don't tell you until you arrive is that the air conditioning is not switched on until May even when the forecast temperature is 26 C. There is also a funfair on one side and a motorcycle race track on the other side so don't expect any peace and quite either.... more

Our stayed one night at this hotel. I cannot say anything bad at this place at all. The rooms are large and nicely appointed. They even have balconies. Our night light doesn't work but I can live with that. The location of the hotel is also very nice. It overlooks the Pomun Lake rimmed by Cherry Blossoms. It is a... more

My wife and I popped over from Japan for a 5-night trip, 2 of which we spent at this hotel in Gyeongju. I'm so pleased we did, as it was a lovely area and made a nice change from the big city of Seoul. In our 2 days we took in the temples at Pulguksa and enjoyed seeing the burial... more

This is a real resort hotel on the lake and very much geared to the Korean tourist, so no Korean restaurant, though there were five others all serving top quality food. The gym and spa are huge and really excellent. If you're visiting the area primarily for the ancient sites of the Silla kingdom you may as well be located... more

Lonely Planet types probably won't like this hotel, because it's away from the city in a resort area overlooking Bomun Lake. That means you'll have to take a taxi or rent a car if you want to travel around, but some very reasonably priced tours of Kyongju and the surrounding sights are available through the concierge desk, and the taxi... more
