I have just returned this week from the Hyatt Regency Taba Heights. We were recommended to go here by friends, but found some mixed reviews on this site so were a bit apprehensive. I don't want to repeat what has already been said so tried to pick out what i thought was really useful to know and relevant. Hotel, grounds... more

We booked our holiday with a few days to spare through lastminute. The flight over was very basic, we had to purchase food, which was a selection of sandwiches, the plane was cold and blankets cost 4 pounds, and there was no tv to watch, which for a five/six hour flight seemed a bit poor. Anyway, the hotel was fabulous.... more

Returning to the Hyatt is just like coming home the staff and and hotel are excellent. Nothing is ever perfect but Taba comes a close second. Relaxing and peaceful except for the Red Block invasion that has to happen.. Food waste seem to be their holiday game.. and total disrepect for the staff.. But we will return again. To the... more

The security is excessive. One cannot obtain a taxi without taking expensive hotel taxis. Little shopping in the area. Poor staff who joked that someone was trying to telephone me without taking a message. Beach chairs put to bed at 4 pm when the saun was still high and warm. No beach towels available after 12 noon. Hyatt is ruining... more

The hotel buildings, rooms, pools, grounds and setting are lovely but staying at this hotel was a nightmare. NOISE: The hotel is made up of a number of small buildings, spread over perhaps 80 acres with the main building towards the center. Every evening, from 7 until 11 pm, the hotel's live entertainment holds forth outside, next to the main... more

I've just come back from a 10-day holiday at Hyatt Taba. I wish I'd booked a few days more. If you're into night life, don't go to Taba on the first place. There is nothing to do in the evening, alcohol drinks are expensive (6.5 dollars for a beer) and the entertainment program is poor. But if you're looking for... more

We saw this offered in The Times, a week half board in a five star hotel for only £525. It seemed too good to be true. It really was fantastic value. The "so called" free up grade to sea view is nothing special , We could see the sea but to get the better view we found ( too late... more

Thanks to emailing the previous general manager (thanks Moshi) we got the room we like, the crate of water and electric kettle waiting in the room. Fantastic. Due to relative low numbers of guests from the ex Soviet bloc, behaviour was muchly improved this time although one was dishonest enough to put his meal on our room number but sign... more

Just returned from a great time in Egypt. We loved the Hyatt Regency - big choice of really nicely laid out restaurants, beach bar, pool bar and really good swimming pools. We tried the 'Limoncello' on the first night but decided that as it was a holiday, we would avoid the queuing for food and enjoy the wide selection of... more

We have just returned from an amazing holiday at the Hyatt, Taba. We travelled with Longwood Holidays from 1st September to the 15th. This was our first visit to Egypt, and we can't wait to go back, and would definately book into the Hyatt again. It was a proper relaxation holiday. We were in block C at the hotel, which... more
