We stumbled upon Alf Leila by chance as we were originally looking for something on the water, which Alf Leila is not but, we were so lucky we did stumble across it (Water is only 2 minute walk. Nothing in Dahab is that far anyway). Our stay was very memorable for two main reasons: 1) We loved the feeling of... more

We've just spent a week in one of the Alf Leila apartments just a short walk from the hotel. It was very comfortable and an absolute bargain at €30 per night for a 2 bed apartment. We've never slept better - the mattress was amazing. And wonderful to wake up and stroll to the bakery for a breakfast of tasty... more

Positives - The rooms were very clean and cool with newly redone bathrooms. Very comfortable mattresses. (I believe this was a recent upgrade/change.) The atrium/central common area with the palm tree was lovely. Fruit basket upon arrival. The architectural design of the building overall is very interesting and unique (also - interesting to hear to owner explain the history of... more

Andy and his staff at the Alf Leila made our stay in Dahab remarkable. While Dahab is a 'diving' resort town, we did not book the Alf Leila as a 'dive' hotel; we were only looking for someplace small and quiet. We were pleasantly surprised to find that Andy, the manager, is a dive instructor....... and that he not only... more

I am trying to write a really objective review, however I was really disappointed with Alf Lelia. We stayed for 4 nights, primarily for a "treat" after 3 great weeks in Egypt . On the positive side, the rooms are well appointed, nicely decorated and designed. On the down side the accommodation has some serious problems that really impacted on... more

Having read the great reviews we booked and hoped for the best. We were not disappointed. They fixed the airport transfers from Sharm for us. The owner/manager Andy and his staff are very welcoming. Our room, Indigo, had a four poster bed (new firm matress) and really efficient air con. It was beautifully designed, with a balcony and kept really... more

We stayed here for two nights initially and were then supposed to go to Jordan. When our plans changed we couldn't wait to get back to Alf Leila and we were really happy that there was a room available for another week. The hotel is small with about 8 rooms. But it is really beautiful and has a boutique feel... more

My girlfriend and I stayed at Alf Leila for 2 weeks in August and we had an absolutely wonderful time. Andy and his staff were so friendly and helpful; we loved our time in Dahab. We flew to Cairo for a few days of hectic sight-seeing in the middle of our stay and then on our return to the hotel,... more

We spent a week in the Roof Terrace Apartment and found it very suitable for chilling out in Dahab... the apartment is a decent size with good facilities although a bit lacking in cooking utensils if your into self-catering... not really necessary because of the German Bakery over the road (very nice) and plenty nice restaurants on the seafront. The... more

One of the most special places in Dahab is the patio of Alf Leila. You could spend hours there lying on the bedouin rugs, chatting to Sharif and sipping a Sakkara beer. Lovely rooms, of course. The whole place is built with taste and originality. I specially loved the floor tile designs. And, if you can, have dinner there: food... more
