We stayed at the Scarlet for two nights as a stopover on our return from Europe. Overall it was a very nice experience, with only a few small issues. The first issue for many people could be the decor. The designer appears to have been allowed to go mad and do whatever he wanted, as long as he stuck to... more

I checked-in at 4pm and I was told my room was not ready (given that their website or it is widely acknowledged that the standard checkin time is 2pm). The front desk staff were not helpful. I asked them if they could put me in any rooms so that I can get changed and put down my luggage. I was... more

The hotel is great in a super location in Chinatown. The problem is the staff. Unfriendly, unhelpful and rude. The front office / door people are so unfriendly; they look away when you are approaching and then ignore you. Sooner or later this hotel will go out of vogue and the only thing left will be the staff and atmosphere... more

I chose this hotel for its quaintness. love the deco of the lobby and theroom. had no problems with the rooms even though it was kinda small. The staff were polite and helpful. There were one or two that were quite snobbish and even gave us a wrong info when asked about parking charges during public holidays. didnt have the... more

I stayed at the Scarlet Hotel for 3 nights in December and was very pleased with the hotel and its location. The hotel had many useful little extras such as umbrellas and free bottled water. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room felt very luxurious with a unique style. The bathroom was very clean which is something I am... more

Only had 2 nights at The Scarlet and loved the room. Great looking hotel with beautiful rooms. Small but comfy and elegant. Cold drinks and dried fruit waiting for me in the room. Liked the Chinatown location. Didn't eat in the hotel due to the cheap eats all around. Upon my return to the US I was emailed and told... more

Arriving at 1am from a long London- Singapore flight I was exhausted, cranky and in desperate need of some luxury. And The Scarlet was just what I needed! Upon arriving in Erskine Rd, I wasn't entirely sure about the outside - it looked like a row of private homes put together, but all of my fears were relieved when I... more

Stayed for three nights with Wife and two teenage daughters. We booked two seperate rooms which included breakfeast. The girls loved having their own room. The price was very reasonable for the two rooms. The hotel is interesting and unique. I would say it is more suited for adults. We did enjoy our stay and it is located within a... more

We booked this hotel for our friend. We wanted it for four nights. We called the hotel they said they had a standard room available for USD 150 for one night and the suites for the next. We wanted to book only for one night and we were told to come to the property and make the reservation and refused... more

I booked this hotel over 6 months ago after reading about it in several travel magazines. I booked for two executive rooms with balcony through the Expedia web page. I paid for and confirmed these bookings with the manager a month later. I arrive in Singapore, and instead of an executive room with balcony, i am shown to a ground... more
