My husband and I stayed two nights at Hotel Abbazia. The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. All of the staff that we interacted with spoke English very well, which was helpful given our limited knowledge of Italian. The room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom in the room was rather large as well. The shower (no tub)... more

We stayed here for 2 nights. It is VERY easy to get to from the train station (about a 3 minute walk). It is set behind the main area near the touristy train area and waterway, so it was very, very quiet. The only steps to deal with are the ones coming down from the train station. Anywhere else in... more

Six of us (ladies between 40 - 50) stayed at this hotel for a long weekend 5th - 8th Sept. First time visit for most of us and we will definately return. Initially the location of the hotel seemed a bit dubious, it is situated up a narrow lane, but having spent the weekend in Venice we now realise that... more

We stayed at the Abbazia for a night at the beginning of August. What a great find - it was literally just around the corner from the train station. We didn't hear any train noises though. We arrived early with the overnight train from Paris but they were happy for us to check in and leave our bags in a... more

We stayed at this hotel for three nights while on our honeymoon in Venice. It was an excellent hotel, literally right next to the train station and with direct access to the vaporettos which take you all around Venice. The staff were very friendly, the rooms nice and clean and we couldn't have asked for better location. The front desk... more

This was a great find in Venice, quiet location but just seconds from the Lista di Spagna street and from the station. Easy access to the vaporetto - it was always easy to travel to and from the area, as it is served by several routes. The hotel itself has lovely details from its history, the front desk staff are... more

Tucked away in one of Venice's many alleyways, with vaporetto, train station and a bus connection to Marco Polo and Treviso airports all within minutes' walking distance, Abbazia is a real find. We stayed for the last 4 days of August so the air con was welcome, as were the marble floors and big airy corridors. Room was generous by... more

We chose the Abbazia based on trip advisor reviews and location. We wanted to be close to the station so we didn't have to haul our bags on and off boats as we only stayed one night. The hotel was perfect in this respect. Just a few minutes walk from the station and grand canal yet tucked into a quiet... more
