Very big hotel, conveniently located in the heart of Madrid, very close to the Royal palace. Lobby looks good, restaurant/breakfast area, corridors and all open areas look great. The hotel really is overrated and overpriced. The room was ‘fine,’ nothing more, nothing less, I had a ‘premium’ room and certainly the prices were certainly ‘premium’ at $400.00 a night. The Westin Palace, Madrid – The Westin Palace was built at the direction of King Alfonso XIII in 1912. The location is great, near the Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, and Neptuno & Cibeles fountains. The rooms had been recently renovated.
