Many museums are also in the vicinity, like the Orsay Museum, the Rodin Museum and the new Quai Branly Museum and its primitive art (inaugurated in June 2006 by former president Jacques Chirac). The St Germain and Montparnasse areas are easily accessible by bus, metro or even by foot. The rue Cler, a famous pedestrian shopping street is also just a few steps away. The HDE also has an international business clients as the 7th Arrondissement is home to many governmental establishments, such as the Health Ministry, just across the street. The famous UNESCO is 3 mins down the road, as are other companies such as Air Liquide, Dupont de Nemours or the ESA. I booked this hotel through a friend's recommendation, it is only rated as a 3 star, but I would definitely say it was nearer a 4 star. The staff were really friendly. The rooms were really nice and the location was perfect. It is only a short walk from the Eiffel Tower and the metro station is just down the... more

Dear guest, Glad you were happy to stay with us. Next time don't hesitate to taste our breakfast made of fresh "viennoiseries", baguettes, cheese...and our home made scramble eggs and bacon. Sincerely yours Julie Palisse

We booked this hotel due to the overwhelming good reviews here and were not disappointed. The Duquesne Eiffel Hotel is located in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, close to the Eiffel Tower, Invalides and the Musee Rodin. We like this area of Paris, it's quiet and safe, close enough to the sights to either walk or take a short metro... more

Found this hotel on the web and couldn't be more pleased, although we were only able to stay for 2 nights. We pretty much agree with the other reviews on this site -- it delivered everything we had hoped for -- it was clean, modern, well-air conditioned, well-located and with a very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in room... more

We stayed at this hotel for 9 nights. We loved our stay. The rooms are very stylishly decorated, with attention to detail and impeccably clean. The beds are really VERY COMFORTABLE - which is important after walking around Paris all day. Our room was on the first floor and overlooking the street, but it was not noisy at all. Everybody... more

I was very excited about staying in this hotel, for starters, it was one of the only ones in our price range without cheap old furniture, two it was being renovated, three the eiffel tower being sooo close! We arrived around 10pm, checkin was quick and easy, however lift is quite small as expected! So one person at a time... more

Hi! I'm so happy you wrote about the breakfast, I'm so surprised when people say that it is expensive! So thank you for that! However, during rush hours, we are not able to book cabs in advance (for example between 7.00 am and 10.00 am) they don't allow it. It is the same for evening rush hours, that's why I...

We stayed at the Duquesne for 5 nights to start off our European honeymoon. The staff were very courteous at the front desk and showed us to the room. Everything in the hotel is small. The lobby is small, the elevator is tiny and the hallways are tight but that's Paris for you. The Room: The room was TINY!!! It... more

Hello, There is an expression in France that says: "the smaller, the cuter" but you are totally right as buildings are old, rooms are small. I'm glad we could upgrade you in a superior room especially for your honeymoon. Thank you for noticing the competence of the front desk, it is hard to find nice employees! We wish you a...

We stayed at the Duquesne Eiffel Hotel for 10 days and loved every minute of it. We were in room 45 the "Tour Eiffel" room and had a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower from our main window. The staff was friendly, helpful, and informative; we were especially fond of Lucie. They all speak English wonderfully and make you feel... more
