We stayed one night as part of Aer Lingus Tour. We arrived 8:00am exhausted from an overnight flight. Was told politely by the desk clerk that the hotel was full and no rooms available yet. Did not expect to get our room until afternoon. However, checked back with the manager who said they were working on getting rooms ready as... more

Our stay at the Best Western Academy Plaza hotel was most enjoyable. The highlight was the meal we had in the Asian Abacus Restaurant within the hotel The food, service and decor were second to none. Our meals were outstanding. We have not stopped talking about it since. Would highly recommend this restaurant - in particular the best calamari I... more

Arrived 20/8/08 and cannot fault this hotel at all. Everything about it was first class and location was excellent. Just off o'connell st and a 10 minute walk to temple bar. Aircoach stops virtually outside and so does the city tour bus. Enjoyed Dublin immensely (especially The KIllers!!) but wont be returning as i can't afford to remortgage the house... more

My wife and I are seniors and we stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in August 2008. Our stay was great and we could not fault the hotel on anything. The rooms are air conditioned (a bit of a rarity for reasonably priced hotels) and of a reasonable size. Most European hotels are smaller in size than US hotels.... more

I stayed in this hotel last weekend and would happily recommend this to friends. I went to Dublin for the weekend with two girlfriends and we'd booked a triple room, which turned out to be a double bed and a single bed but we're good mates and two of us had no problem sharing. This bed arrangement was not specified... more

Clean, new, modern, centrally located to everything we wanted to see in Dublin. We were surprised at how spacious our room was, and had no complaints at all. It was a very comfortable stay. It was in a nice neighborhood, and close to the bus stops and within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, pubs, etc. The breakfast was very good... more

The hotel is situated just off O'Connell Street making it ideal for shopping, buses and tourist attractions. We found the room to be small though adequate and spotlessly clean and modern. We ate in Sir Harry's Bar on a couple of occassions. Whilst the food was good and prices in line with the average around Dublin the service was very... more

This 4 star hotel is excellent. The location could not be better. The Airbus will drop you a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. On the same road you can catch a Dublin bus or the "Hop on hop off" buses to view the city. The room was very clean, with a lovely bathroom. The bed had a memory... more
