Hoku's has always been a local favorite. Known for high end dishes and outstanding servce, this dinner did not disappoint. I do remember the food to be better a few years ago, it's not bad, but not as good as I recall (reason I gave above average versus excellent rating). I was a little apprehensive about staying here after reading some of the reviews here. But our family of four spent a fabulous Labor Day weekend here. We were not in one of the recently renovated rooms, but no complaints here. elevator wait times were minimal, a minute or two at most. Rooms were clean, kitchen in good working order.... more
